Our multidisciplinary team make sure our patients are given the correct treatment and a rehabilitation plan is implemented to promote the patient’s health and well-being.

Sports Therapy

Sports Therapy is an aspect of healthcare that specializes in Musculoskeletal conditions to prevent injury and assist with rehabilitation of the patient to reach optimum levels of sports specific fitness.

Sports Massage

Sports Massage is a form of massage which involves manipulation of the soft tissue in order to prevent or improve sporting and non-sporting injuries. A Sports Massage therapist has undergone specific training and has a broader and more specified medical knowledge and application.

Physiotherapy

Physiotherapists help to restore movement and function when someone is affected by injury, illness or disability. They consider the body as a whole, rather than just focusing on the individual aspects of an injury.

Strength and Conditioning

S&C is a practical application of sports science to promote the physical development of the athlete by allowing their muscles to perform in the best possible way, normally through structured strengthening programmes.

Gait Analysis

A Gait Analysis is a method for identifying biomechanical abnormalities in the gait cycle. Kaha ST offers a 3 point gait analysis. This includes information on footwear, biomechanical weaknesses and future injury prevention exercises.

K-Taping

Kinesiology taping is an elastic sports tape designed to relieve pain while supporting muscles, tendons and ligaments. It is applied strategically to the body to provide support, lessen pain, reduce swelling and improve performance.

Julie Maguire

Julie studied a BSc in Sports Science at Chester University and a PGCE at Cheltenham and Gloucester College of HE. She taught PE in Welshpool High School for 15 years before having a career change into Sports Therapy. Julie set up Kaha Sports Therapy in 2016, building the business to what it is today. She is very passionate about sport and exercise across all age groups and demonstrates this in her meticulous approach when treating patients.

Larna

Larna studied Physiotherapy in Sheffield Hallam University. She started work at Newtown Hospital in 2013. In 2014 Larna moved to RJAH hospital where she worked in Paediatrics and Musculoskeletal Outpatients. She went on to specialize in Paediatrics in 2015 and in MSK in 2017. Larna has a personal interest in Strength and Conditioning and has competed for GB in triathlon.

Hannah Whitley

Hannah has an MA Honours degree in Ancient History and a PGCE in Secondary Education. She taught History and Classical Civilisations GCSE and A Level at Llanfyllin High School for 14 years, before discovering Yoga at the age of 40. Hannah found the many, far-reaching benefits of a daily yoga practice had a life-changing impact on all aspects of her physical and emotional health, leading to a complete change of direction. Hannah is now a qualified yoga teacher registered with Yoga Alliance Professionals. She is passionate about helping others experience the benefits of yoga for themselves and offers both group classes and one to one yoga sessions.
